“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
Who are we becoming? How are we living, loving and serving like Jesus?
Here at Zion, we are guided by these questions. We are continually reminded that God didn’t call us to build the church, He called us to make disciples. We aren’t focused in growing in numbers, we are focused in growing people.
Some of our key formations of focus at Zion include:

Gathering
Giving
Serving
These aren’t tasks that we master but rather disciplines that form us.
REST
“So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.” Hebrews 4:9-11
How are our times and rhythms with Jesus?
At its conception, Zion was built to be a place to rest and refresh from our day to day because we cannot give what we do not possess. As believers of Jesus, we do not move at the pace of demands, we move at the pace of health.
This is why we intentionally create our worship gatherings with limited production because we want everyone to enjoy our gatherings. We don’t work to rest, we rest to work. May our doing for God flow from our being with God.
RELATIONSHIPS
“Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”” Matthew 16:13-16
Who do those closest to us say we are?
How we treat our family, friends and colleagues is the true indicator of how our soul is doing. We are not impressed with how good one can preach, teach, lead or produce but by how well those closest to them love and respect them.
This is why we ask the tough questions at Zion about our relationships because everything flows out of our relationship health.
